Yusen Kaisha authorities, owing to the European hostilities, all the Com pany's freight liners on the Ear- opeen line will return via America; picking up freight on the way. The Tokushima-maru, 6,054 tons, sailed from London on the 6th instant, and will call at New York. The Tsushima-maru, 7,300 tons, left London on the 13th instant for Boston and Philadelphia, where she is expected to load oil to her fullest capacity, and retura vis the Panama Cana, Among the vessels jast on the way for New York from London are also the Tottori-maru 6,058. tons, "and the Wakasa-maru, 6,327 tone, both of which will return via. "Obituaries.
died at sen on April 21, on the steamer Golcondo, Mr. Mackenzie, The chief engineer of the B.I.
voyage from Negapatam to Pen ang. He was one of the oldest servants of the Company and had been on the same ship for twenty-
saven years.
The death occurred at Wuba on May 11 of Mr. L. B. Austin, late second officer of the 1-0- steamer Wosang. Mr. Austin who was for several years in the China Merolanta' Co. went down to Hongkong on leaving that firm and returned to Shanghai abont seven months ago, obtaining em ployment in the Indo-Chine,
