Mr. Asquith detailed at length the splendid gifts of the Indian Princes and people, and mentioned that India had put into the field 28 regiments of cavalry and 124 regiments of infantry. When they looked to the notual schievements of the forces of India, which bad been so spontaneously despatched and so magnificently equipped, then the battlefields of France and Flanders bore an undying tribute, to their bravery.
