ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. Army corps is a complete army on a small scalo in itself. The atrength varies from 35,000 to 45,000 men.

Division is a force of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 15,000 to 20,000 men.

A

Brigade is a force of infantry or cavalry. The infantry brigade is from 4,000 to 7,000 strong. The cavalry brigado ia from 1,000 to 2,000 strong. Regiment of infantry is from

2,000 to 4,000 strong. cavalry regiment is from 500| to 1,000 men strong." Squadron of cavalry is from 150

to 200 men strong.. Battery of artillery in the British and French armies has 6 gans and about 200 men. In the German Army consists of 4 In the gune and 150 men.
