Some Remarks on Shipping Questions.

Washington, January 8: Opposition to the President's ship- purchase bill has been intensified by despatches from London par porting to forecast what will be the attitude of the English Covers ment with respect to the purchase of Interned German vessels by the Government of the United States.

this connection.
