Curious Accident in the

Philippines.

The explosion of an old two- inch shell, believed to have been fred in the early days by an American gunboat, killed two "Filipino boys and wounded a girl at Norte, on February 9. The shell was found by one Calapini in the Burgos river and taken by him to his house as a curio. According to the Gablenews American, the two boys, Antero Acosta and Epilazio Calapini, accompanied by Juana Calapini, took the old dusty shell into the yard on Febiuszy 9 and began throwing rocks at it. The shell suddenly exploded, killing the boys and injuring the girl, whọ was standing at some distance. Mra. Rockafeller's Falling Health.
