Ordinance No. 5 of 1872,
entitled -
"An Ordinance, enacted by the
"Governor of Hongkong, with the
"Advice of the Legislative Council
"thereof, to further amend the
"Law relating to Criminal Procedure."
This Ordinance is founded upon the Xnd and 211th Sections of Statute
14 & 15 Vict Cap : 100, and was introduced and passed to supply
certain deficiencies in our
Criminal Procedure, which were suggested and
commented on by the late Chief
Justice when giving judgment.
