chant Service Guild, is now about to take up an important Admiral- ty appointment with the rank of Lieut, Commander, R.N.B. Quita recently the Chief Assistant Sac- rotary of the Guild, Mr. D. H Bernard, received a Commission of similar rank and is in sotive service under the Admiralty. Through the medium of the Headquarters and agencies of the Guild at the different shipping districts, a very large number of their members have been granted Commissione in the Royal Naval Reserve since the oatbreak of the war end in the ease of officera for minc-sweeping dalies some forty were nominate 1 by the Guild at the request of the Admiralty, these nominatione being duly accepted. The Lords Commis sionera have caused their thanks to be conveyed to the Guild for "valuable services rendered. #
