Des. 27, 5.50 p.m. A Paris communique says: "A German dirigible has dropped ten bombe on Nancy, in the middle of the town, without there being any military grounds for doing so. Our seroplanes, on the con trary, bombarded the aviation sheds at Frascati, one of the stations at Metz where movements of trains have been reported, and also on the barracks of St. Privae, at Metz.”
French Further Progress In Alsace.
The communique adds: "Our troops made farther progress in Upper Alsace, on the heights dominating Cernay. We repulsed several attacks in this region.”

The Russian Successes.
London, Deo. 25, Russian Headquarters reports that operations yesterday were favourable to the Russians on all fronts. Tas most conspionons were on the Rivers Nida and Danajetz and in the Carpathians, Between the Lower Vistula and the Pilica, the Germans concan- trated their efforts to cross the Bzura and the Rawka, with a view to enemy across the rivers to their old positions and inflicted enormous losses.

Dec. 28, 1,20 à‚m. The evening official statement issued in Paris atates :- The enemy, after directing heavy artillery and infantry fire all night against our postions at La Boisselle and the vicinity, delivered two unsuccessful consecutive attacke.

A Gift from Egypt.
A hospital train has been placed at the disposal of the military Dec. 27, 10.45 p.m. The Admiralty announces that seven naval seaplanes, at day-anthorities in Egypt, through the generosity of the Egyptian Red light on Christmas Day, attacked German warships lying in the Crescent Society, which contributed £1,000 to this end. Dec. 27, 10 p.m Renter's correspondent at Petrograd reports that the Ozar has rived at the front.
More Russian Captures.
A Russian communique states that activities have been mostly in the nature of an artillery duel in the region from the Rawks to the Bzura, where German attacks were successfully repelled.
It continues-We have dialodged the enemy on the Lowor Nida.
From the village of Visliea the Austrians made an obstinate resistance and endeavoured to entrench. We then drove them. "Boross the river and we also repelled Austriase from the line Tuohow-Olpiny. The enemy abandoned ten quick-firers and we captured 43 officers and over 2,500 men.

The German Visit to Dover.
A German aeroplane was seen over Dover to-day. It dropped a bomb, which fell in a private garden and exploded, but did no damage. British aviators at once pursued the enemy, who dissp peared in the fog.
