My dear Sir Archibald Kennedy,
I have just called upon the Attorney General with reference to the Chinese Passenger Ordinance, and he has sent me the enclosed note which I trust will do away with any difficulty that may exist in exempting the P&O Steamer from the Act pending reference to England.
