No Neglect.
Nov. 12, 25 p.m. A Court Martial has fully acquitted Rear Admiral Troubridge (who had been in command of the Mediterranean Cruiser Squadron since 1912) of neglect in connection with the escape of the German craiears Goeben and Breslau.

British Torpedo Gunboat Torpedoed.

It is officially autounded that H..S. Niger has been torpedoed by a submarine in The Downs.
The Niger foundered, but all the officers and seventy-seven of the orew were saved, of whom four were injured. It is believed that no one perished.
[H.MS Niger was a torpedo gunboat of 810 tons, built in 1892 at Barrow. She was among a class of obsolete vessels, some of which are used as lookouts and mine sweepers. The Downs is a roadstead on the east coast of Kent, opposite Ramsgate and Deal and protected externally by the Goodwin Sinde]
