on in the matter
of an action for collision brought by the owners of the "Rona-"
against the former vessel. In the middle of the examination the Registrar of the Vice Admiralty Court said that he must put a stop to the examination as he had to make out a Warrant of arrest against the Ava. There were at this time in the Court Room the Queen's Advocate who appeared on behalf of the Ava, the proctor for the Rond, the proctor for the Ava -
and the proctor for the Rona, Mr. Landstein, the Chief Engineer of the Ava, who was under examination and several other gentlemen. They all heard the remarks made by the Registrar. The examination was not stopped as the proctor for the Rona undertook to draw out the
Warrant for the Registrar, and he proceeded to do so at the Counsel's table. As no protest was made by the Advocate or Proctor for the Ava claiming immunity from arrest on account of rights granted by Treaty - I was led to the unavoidable...
