The Suez and Panama Canals.
The average duration of the passage through the Suez Canal, which was reduced by 35 minutos in 1913, is now 10 hours and 19 minates. The average time through the Panama Canal is estimated at 95 to 111 hours. The length of the Panama and Baez Cauale is, respectively, 50 and 90. miles and the cost of construction $375,000,000 and $100,000,000. The Panama costs, however, inclado the $50,000,000 paid to the French Canal Company and the Republic of Panams for pro party and franchises and about $20,000,000 expended in the Banitation of the Canal Zone - Weekly Commercial News.
