It appears that immediately after the stranding, all efforts to get her off the reef were of no avail; the propeller had become useless by the loss of three blades, and owing to the continual bumping, the bottom was pierced and the ballast tanks filled: The Court. see no reason to censure the conduct of the master or any of the crew, and it desires to place on record its appreciation of the work done by the engineers and firemen, and of the conduct of the chief officer, obief engineer and cook while remaining on the stranded ship.
