Lahore, July 30 h.--Excluding the city and cuntonment of Rawal. pindi the whole of Rawalpindi Tehsil has in consequence of itorease of violent crime 'been declared to be in a disturbed state And increase in the number of Folice force has been ordered for a period of three years with effect from 1st June 1914. Similar measures have been adopted in the Gujarkhan Tehsil of Rawal pindi distriot. New police stations will be created at Golra and Banda in Rawalpindi Tehsil and at Sayad in Gujarkban Tehsil. Two police outposts will also be established in Rawalpindi Tehal. In connection with these special police measures it may be men- fioned that in the last four years the recorded crime in the four police stations which comprise Rawalpindi Tebail has consisted of 83 murders, 54 dacoities, 11 robberies and 847 burglaries. A certain number of police sowars will be attached to each police station and experiment is being made with a new system of pst- rolling.
