Dancing the Tango to Hymn Tunes.
New York, July 26-The authorities at Atlantic City, the Brighton of New Jersey, are in despair over the refusal of fash ionable bathers to observe, the Sabbath, and are now trying to davise a me method of stopping | impromptu dances on the sands on Bunday. The mere fact that dano- ing on Sunday was forbidden did not deter bathers from executing the Tango, the Boston, and other much criticised steps, to the masic of the municipal bands, and orders were given last week and that only hymn tones and other suitable music should be played on the Sabbath.
