the Commandant

the
Gunboat, who would with his own
force proceed
on
this service. If this
does not meet the views of H.M's
Consul, the Viceroy could despatch live officials in a guard boat to remain
at Kongsing, who on the
occurrence
of a
call
of piracy would accompany
any Naval
vessel the Hong Kong Authorities might choose to send
The Viceroy hopes H.M's Consul will take the above proposals into consideration, and favour him
with a reply
