At the Police Court, this afternoon before. Mr. Hazeland, Mr. R. C. Faithfull defended Li 8bni-wo, a cargo-boat owner who was charged with the larceny of fourteen bars of metal valued 8210, the property of Messrs. Gibb, Livingston and Company, from the s.s. Aldenham,
His Worship pointed out that the ship had not been cleared yet so they could not do anything until it was. Es proposed to adjourn the case antil Saturday.
Mr. Faithfull said he would be sway from lo-night until Tuesday, commencing business on Wednes day morning.

His Worship said that unless he discharged the defendant he would not do anything with the. case without consulting. Mr. Faithfull. He would allow the defendant out in a personal bond as his junk was in custody.
Mr. Faithfull intimated that the understood; the defendant wanted his junk.
His Worship replied that if the defendant wanted to use his junk ia the muntime would have to find a bond he had either to elect to put up bail tr ass the junk or leave it where it WAS.
Inspector Gordon asked for bail in the event of defendant having the custody of his junk, b de fixed at $500, --
Defendant said he ould not find the money.
His Worship adjourned the hearing mail Saturday, and per mitted defendant out in a
personal bond.“
