Whatever merit there may have been in the contentions of in- fluential newspapers and persone that there were no reasonable grounde famous the thousands of readers of news papers in America which depend upon the Associated Press for their impressions of Japan are convinced, through Mr. Ken nedy's efforts, that the Japanese Government and Judiciary have been unjustly treated and that they can do and did no wrong.
