The Committee have investigated the various matters connected with the administration of the Surveyor General's Department, as instructed by His Excellency's minute of the 17th January last, and they very respectfully beg to report as follows:-
1. According to the rule and practice established by His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell, the Surveyor General is bound to transmit, for the approval of the Governor, at the close of each month a Requisition stating the items of Expenditure proposed for the next month. Except
