On istro 18th August, 1871, General Whitfield transmitted in his despatch No 190 of the 11th August Mr. Sharp's application for an increase to his salary of £250 a year, which application was recommended by Mr Attorney General Pannarfole, and I remember agreeing with Mr Pannarfole ... reference made to me before my departure from England.
