Professor Challey, while re- ngnising that the Hongkong University will, doubtless "draw" many men to it, thinks the fees may prove a serious difficulty to Home. The fees are far from being prohibitive, and there is every indication that the University. will soon have as many engineer ing students an 'it will be able to accommodate. Thanks to the nasidaity of Professor Middleton Smith, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University, and to the generosity of British sugineering firms, the Hong- kong University will sooD be equipped with plant worth at least $15,000, forming a working laboratory for the students such as no other University in Asia is able to show. There is certain to be a great future for the Hongkong Univer.. si'y in this connection.
