No compen- sation so far has been awarded to the Company for the heavier losses at Hankow and Ching Kong re- ferred to in last year's balance sheet; the British Minister stated that if other Ministers claimed on. behalf of their nationals, he would do so; but until they did he did not feel disposed to press the matter.
