Beat, started out from Boston in the little exploration motorboat, oruised along the Maine coast, thence around Nova Scotia into the Galf of St. Lawrence, then through the Straits of Belle Isle and up along the coast of Labra- dor. The motorboat is heavily plated as a protection against aratio ice.

will undertake from the present fiscal year an extension of the. harbour limits of Vladivostok, to- gether with the construction of an additional wharf and three pon- toone, on a three-years pro gramme, at an estimated outlay of Roubles 7,000,000, of which Roubles 1,600,000 will be invested in the current year.
