Rubber Imports Into Germany' The importsof crude and manu- factured rabber into Germany in 1912 amounted to 20,586 tone, of the value of £8,739,000, as com pared with 10,050 tons and 28,472,500 in the preceding year. According to the "Frankfurler. Zeitung," the principal share of the import trade aguia applial The to Brazil, which supplied 0,700 tons, as against 6,831 tons in 1011. As contrusted with this Blight decrease, it is pointed out that the imports from British Todia wore over twice the amount which obtained in 1911, in consequence of the large growth in the calti- vation of plantation rubber, the Agures being 2,127 tons, as against 008 tons in the previous year. The third position ie occupied by the Cameroons, which furnished 2,043 as compared with 1,816. tons in 111, whilst the quantity. from German East Afrión, rosa from 001 tons in 1011 to 8506 tona last year. On the other hand, the Gorman exports of rubber to 0.15 talled 4,043 tons, as contrasted with 4,591 tone in 1911, and the major portion was shipped to the United States, Russia and Austria-, Hungary following in the order ineationed.
