The Trade of Sandakan,'
The annual report of the customs department, Sandakan, for 1012, shows that, in imports, the total entries were valued at |$2,330,911, against $1,834,202, in the year previous, ie., an in- crease of $502,819, equal to 27.4 per cent. Erolading treasure fig ures, the 1912 actual commercial importa were $2,015,144, against $1,637,609, for the corresponding period preceding, or an increase in real trade of $377,635, equal to a percentage of 23.1 per coat. Of this trade increase about $35,000 worth is due to more transhipment trade in 1912,
