In ten years the additions to the British merchant flest make up 3,738,252, tods when allowance is made for wastage from natural canres and misadventure, as well as for the sales and purchases to and from other countries and for ifl entries on the debit and oredit ide of the balance sheet. The tol British merchant fleet thus stands at 19,146.742 tons, the measurement of 20,878 vessel. The tonnage of new steamers added in the ten years in 10,730,740 tons, a figure which, it'
