I am to request that you will be pleased to lay before the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, requesting the repayment of a sum of $13,558 (equivalent to £3,261, 11s, 6d) due to the Colony on account of the maintenance of Naval Prisoners during the year 1871.
I am to request that this sum may be paid to the Crown Agents, to the credit of the Government of Hong Kong, if the claim is found to be correct.
