prices are firmly held. There is not much likely inquiry coming forward from the Indian markets, and orders going through are generally for small lote. For China, transactions in some of thej favourite cloths are reported, but the business done is not of large dimensions, and buyers do not readily acquiesce to current rates. A fair demand is experienced in some quarters for the many smaller markets, and lots moderate quantity changed hands.
