Society was founded. Doubtless, a hostel might be useful for many purposes that are at present ably undertaken by the Y.W.O.A., but that, of course, is not the purpose of a hostel. The hostel would very probably, as stated, be supported by missionaries passing through,
and in that respect would sorts o
good purpose. If however, mis
■ionaries require & hostel here, why does not some Missionary Society establish one? Wo repeat, that there is no apparent need for such a place in the Colony sad we believe that it would be
advisable for the Society to col upon the public for subscriptions for anything apart from the legiti mate purpose for which they exist as a "boily and for that purpose, we feel sure, there will always bo, as there has been this year, judging by the fact that there is a surplus, a sufliciently adequate response.
