THE
SCIENCE OF ADVERTISING.
Advertising is both a science and an art. We
have studied that science.
Do you know the ART ?
Can you write a catchy ad.?---very few can.`
A good ad. is one that catches the eyes, then
"holds the attention.
Can you do it? We can.
Let us write your ads. for you, insert them in any paper you fancy, but let us write them for you, we like it, that will be our recompense. Choose your paper, put them in, watch results. ADVICE:-Insert them in the paper with the largest circulation—that is the secret of judicious advertising.
All the papers have the largest circulation, if you doubt it, ask them; then tell us, what they tell you.
The other fellow is losing all the money, True; that is the reason he is able TO KEEP
UP the advertising rate I
THEY KNOW that the other fellow is losing money hand over fist, if YOU doubt it, ask them, they will tell you candidly; "it is quite
by will tell yo true,"
The cheapest ad. is the dearest. Why? do you know your business and ask why'?
Do you advertise because of friendship? No? To reach the people ? Yes, yes, that is the reason and it can only be accomplished by
artising in the paper that has the
the largest flation. But if they all have the largest
must advertise, in
Quite so. If you think
of every description.

It is more touching still to think of him-as yielding up his life and that of his wife in the belief that he may be able still to serve in the other world the Emperor whom he had faith- fully served for so many years

It is pathetic and dramatic -and in that respect alone it may be considered "magnificent," as Reuter says it is regarded in: Japan-but to the Western world it cannot be anything but pitiful and amazing that a man of General Nogi's calibre should have sacrificed his life in these days of progress and enlighten- ment from motives, so illogical and perverse.

The sale of agricultoral ma chinery and implements in Sibe ria has become an important one, and that it is steadily growing appears also from the fact that the depots in West and Eastern Siberia of the Colonisation De- partment have increased from 61 in 1008 to 104 in 1910. Thisfact is all the more important to manufacturers aspecially now that the Siberia Railway is gradually being improved. Daring these three years the aggregate sale from these depots amounted to 14,751,010 roubles, and the list of articles in very long and varied. The number of portable engines sold only amounts to 31 and that of naphthamotors to 12, but of self binders 1,056 were sold, and of other harvesting-machines, reapera, and mowers, no less than 34,440 the number of screens and fans was 15,739, and the aggregate of diverse kinds of ploughs, 101,321 -
