THE

SCIENCE OF ADVERTISING.

Advertising is both a science and an art. We

have studied that science.

Do

you 'know.the ART ?

Can you write a catchy ad.?—very few can.

A good ad. is one that catches the eyes, then

holds the attention.

Can you do it? We can.

Let us write your ads. for you, insert them in any paper you fancy, but let us write them for you, we like it, that will be our recompense.. Choose your paper, put them in, watch results. ADVICE:-Insert them in the paper with the largest circulation-that is the secret of judicious advertising.

"All the papers have the largest circulation, If you doubt it, ask them; then tell us, what they tell you.

The other fellow is losing all the money, True; that is the reason he is able TO KEEP

UP the advertising rate! THEY KNOW that the other fellow is losing money hand over fist, if YOU doubt it, ask them, they will tell you candidly; "it is quite true."

The cheapest ad. is the dearest. Why? do you know your business and ask why ?....... Do you advertise because of friendship? No? To reach the people ? Yes, yes, that is the reason and it can only be accomplished by advertising in the paper that has the largest circulation, But if they all have the largest olrom

must

advertise in all the pa- titano," If you think

In this work we have confidence in the King's representative on the Shameen, and while he has striven to protect the interests of Britishora, he has not imposed his will on officials: with whom he has worked for. many years. At the same time the destro of Chinese officials to jealously guard their rights is a Inudable one, worthy of that recognition which will always, wO fool Bure, be forthcoming.

The Pratas and Wireless.. A survey of the Pratus Island and shoal, Mr. Harris states, has been undertaken, at the request of the Provincial Government, by the Maritime Customs. The Do- puty Coast Inspector, Captain Eldridgo (assisted by three offi cors and by the revenue atesmer Likin), resided on the island for three months, and a print of the survoy may now be had from the usual agencies. The survey, Mr. Harris explains, was made in the interests of a future wireless station for transmission of wes- ther signals, and also with a view the island, with its reputed guano to the economical development of deposits and fishory capabilities. subject with the remark that The Commissioner dismisses the
