Mr Zox.

Thermorgon Dr Murrays Pension Papers before, but I am not thinking of recollection, that from them it appears that D. M. had £700. as they had barely taken Private Practice. That the salary of the Office, without the rights of Private Practice, was £600, and that that sum was always paid in the Estimates & further, that the office of Surgeon to the Lock Hospital £100 per annum, though conferred on Dr Murray, does not necessarily appertain to his office, and that on that ground; viz. he might have lost it at any moment in the event from some arrangement being, thought desirable, the loss has not been calculated in computing his pension.

But derived from Rm 2073 see Notation.

Mr Meade was appointed in 1855 with a Salary of £800. without restriction on private practice. In 1860 he complained of suffering, but was recommended to have £500 Salary with the two years' purchase of Lock Hospital Funds &c.

The difference between £600 and £700 is appealed to in the concluding para.
