Af the Olympic club, Manila, on Sathirday last, Rod Stanton and Billy Bellow were billed" for the main attraction. They were to box ten rounds for the wolter- weight championship of the oriont. This was Stanton's first appearance in Manila. Ho has the reputation of being a very clavor boxer and has hosts of admirors in China, where ho boxed before sovoral clubs.
Bellow, who fa woll and favour- ably known to the club members was, according to thecritics, in the very best condition ho hasattained for years. Both men had been working hard for the past four weoka in proparation for tho contost.
