For Murray advises for six months leave, in order to retire. Reply that under the 135th regulation it is not possible to accede to his request, but that he remain in England on half pay until the question of his pension has been decided. And transmit copy of correspondence. The annexed circular of the 5th August is even stronger than the regulations.
