If I first on looking over my accounts, I find that the very dangerous state of my financial affairs has entirely preoccupied my attention, and that much temporary confusion and loss have resulted.

It therefore appears to me that I might find it convenient, if not actually necessary, to be enabled to use a Treasury grant of £800, from Hong Kong Joannou, to assist me in returning to England on the expiration of my present time, in the event of Earl Kimberley's sanction.
