Sir R. MacDonnell intruded his memorandum to secure to Mr Prydd

a Salary of £500 for three months' notice to be only given at such

times as to secure the arrival of Mr Kydd in

England during the spring

or Summer months.

Write to Acting Governor, telling him that such being for Mr. Prydd's benefit,

it is necessary that Mr Prydd should be employed and receive salary in Houghton, till (say) the end of February next. He will then reach England
