At my recent interview with Ad Frinterley I drew His Lordship's attention to the fact that, if I were to attempt to land in Hong Kong by the 18th October, the date on which strictly speaking my leave expires, I should be obliged to pass through The Red Sea and Indian Ocean at a State of year when, in my present state of health, the intense heat would probably be fatal.

Acc opinion since comprened by in Manald Martin.

"Therefore suffected to his lordship's the expediency of prolonging my present leave by Six months..."
