Sometimes the deceased would drink a little whisky, but than the quantity of brandy she took would be reduced, Major Farmar Bringhorst – drank some of the spirits, Whasss bad seen him the worse for drink, but not sien. He had sever seen Mrs. Farmar-Bringhurst in a condition that could be called drook, but he had sono her on a few occasions the worse for drink, The only food she was able to take during the last few days of her life was some Scotch brath.

Upon the deceased's death witness want to the house and found Mejor Farmar-Bringhurst in the bedroom in a drunken stato. Witness mentioned that the proper dose of morphis was a sixth of grain, whereas the major told him he had been giving his wife half-grain doses,.
