I am directed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies to authorize you, on the usual conditions, to pay to the Revd R. Hayward Kidd, colonial chaplain of Hongkong, the sum of £150—from the funds in your hands belonging to the Government of Hongkong—as an advance on account of his salary.
Mr. Kidd's address is Alexandra Road, Righams, Nomorch. His appointment was notified to you in the letter from this Department of the date stated in the margin.
