The chairman said he was 'presiding on this occasion because the chairman himsell Mr. Byron Peters, together with Mr. Hewitt, was visiting the property during a circular tour in the East. Various reports had been received from them, all of which were eminently satisfactory. Mr. Peters re ported that everything he had sapa fully con firmed the statements made in the prospectus, and so doubt at next mea.ing both be and the his colleague would be able to present much faller reports that were available at the present time. Personally, he (the chairman) did not know the Kota Tinggi property. It was 20. years ago this month that he went out to the Malay States, and in store days no one there had the slightest idea that the rubber industry would grow in such an extraordinary way as it had done in the last two or three years. Share holders might take it from him that every statement in the prospectus was absolutely cor rect, and might be expected to be fully barne by the results. Of the total nominal capital of £35,000, £12,500 was the full amount paid for the property, and £1,10) represented the pre- liminary, lagal and office expenses, making the total cost of the estate up to the present time. about £13,600, The balance of the nominal capital, when fully issued, would all be spent in the development of the estate,
