THE Marila Times, of 25th inst, anys :-The three casparos who were arrested in connection with the attempted smuggling of opium, which came from Hongkong steamer Rubí, have been set free by the authorities. No evidence could be brought forward connecting them with the attempted landing of the drug. As they ware not seen handling the sack or barrels, it was presumed they were longcent. - The customs authorities made a technical seizure of the Rub, but it is stated by the tepesentatives of the vessel, that no grounds exist for connecting the ship's crew with the smuggled drug. It is their belief that the drug was plated in the barrels before the ship received them as cargo.
