The Canton Fong Pin Haspital has therefore offered re wards of $100 each for the apprehension of such({desecrators.

Besides the submission of a petition by the Castos Self-Goverment Society, the local Provincial Daliborative Council has taken action against the order of the Viceroy, pro- hibiting the admission and circulation ia Can- tos of all Chinese newspapers published in Bongkong. Yesterday the Council addressed an official despatch to the Vicaray informing him that the pribibition was greatly deițimental to the Cables cummmercial community and also disadvantageous to the people generally. The Viceroy was urged by the Council to rescind bis order, and to permit Hongkong Chinees acwspapers to circulate in Canton as before.
