appointed Charles Ford to be Superintendent of Public
Gardens at Hongkong.
I am to instruct you to
procure a passage to Hong-Kong for Ford with
in the P.&O.S.N. Co's Steamer leaving Southampton on the 13th May, unless there should be some cheaper
Steam route available at about the
same time.
I am also to authorize you to issue to Ford from
