I may be safer to wait for the report from the Colony before answering F.O. letter regarding the Italian fit which can be placed on sale.
I am not acquainted with what has occurred in connection with all this.
I would wait for report from Governor. It is better not to communicate imperfect information to the Govt. When it will be transmitted naturally to F.O.
Regarding Portuguese Emigration to S. America, I should incline to answering this F.D. in the affirmative generally in other letter, adding that an extract of it had however been sent. I agree to the latter course.
