5th November. Though there was no rain yesterday the holding the poules boofs sunk deep in the turf and stayed there, Mr. Moller's tiding was the feature of the day, though he failed to win the fait race. As a matter of fact, Gemini was a very hot favourite for this event, even though Reva d'Or Rosa started against him, and Mr. Burkill rode the latter. The result of the race was a great surprise to most of the people on the course, as will be seen by the dividends below. In the second race Mr. Marshall, a visitor from Amey, who has not had very good luck here for the last four mealings though he bas done well in Amoy, scored his first victory of the meeting with Damson Trea. In the longast ace of the day Marbles gavs.

UP porters a win, beating the favourite easy, and giving the P. and O. Co. another win. Mr. Eric, Moller started out on Tartar Chief for the fourth race and rada the pony home in splendid fashion.

This was one of the few opportunities that Mr. Moller had of showing bis ability in the saddie and he landed this race, just as he did the champions, in a fashion which stamped him as being one of the best riders on the Chins coast, It was rather remarkable that in this race there was a dead heat-in fact, it was only in this race that there was a dead-best-and here it was only for second place. Mr. Burkill, who had done so well on the previous days, did not do so well yesterday, but his riding of Milkman in the Manchu Siaken fulfilled expectations. Sirius and Sutlej divided favouritism for the Consola. tion Cup but the first mentioned at the fialah showed his undoubted excellence and woo oasily. For the champions Mr. Eric. Moller rode exceptionally well, He was up og Sagittarius and bo'certainly rode as seldom he has ridden bere, He won. He rode ble pony well. The white and braided jacket took first place.
