In reply to your enquiry regarding Edward Nyx, formerly of 4 Battery 24 Brigade, Royal Artillery, I am to acquaint you that no application has been made to this office for a warrant to prosecute Edward Nyx for desertion.
Reference has been made to the Colonial Office whether the Commander of Kimberley, to which Edward Nyx has not received information of the Victoria Cross, has been made.
