— The barometer has risen considerably in N. China ad over the S. cast of Chica and Tongling. It has fallen quickly in E. Jäpav, the depression lying near Korea Straits...yester. day, having reached the Pacific to the S. of Hokkaido,
Pressure is highest over N. China, It has a tendency to give way again over the, S.. Philip. pices.
Strong monsoon"may be expected in the Formosa Channel, and the wind will probably shift to the N. and NE and freshen along the
S. coast of China.“--
