The Govr of the province of Macao and Timor & its dependencies orders as follows.
Taking into consideration the report of the committee appointed by the Recree (Portaria) of the 12th of this month to propose what improvements should be adopted as to the regulations regarding the Chinese Emigration, so as to obtain the greatest certainty possible as to the number with which the colonists embark, it is expedient to ordain, pending the adoption of measures of more radical nature, as follows.
