In a Letter received from Mr Robertson, numbered 52 dated Austin Jan 24/41,
it appears that the officers in the service above referred to are there with the sanction
of this fort, but it may be gathered from the other Contents of the Letter that this sanction is given on the understanding their services are only required for apprehending pirates, smugglers and wreckers.
