MARKET-TOWN HELD UP..
On the Fih instani, at 3 p.m. a gang of rob, bors, numbating over two hundred, all dressed
in uniforms and disguised ex soldiers, entered the Fook Wo market town in Tsang Shing, carrying with them rifles, swords and other weapons. The shop people in the market at Brat thought that the visitors were real soldiers sent there by officials with instructions to buat down certain bandits and had no idea at all that they were robbers. When these men all got into the market, they closed the gates of the place, and racsicked about five dozes shops, removing money and valuable, articles to the extent of some forty thousand dollars. The shop people, though not well equipped with arms and ammunition, offered resistance against the robbers with the result that sixteen of the former were seriously wounded. The case has now been reported to the Canton officials,
